[glow=red,2,300]Sage turned to face Tasha. She looked like a wild animal...even more than usual. Her face looked like she was on the prowl, her long blonde hair going in every direction. "I think you need to walk away. Don't start this, Tash. I'm on my own for this."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Sage shook her head, "I don't need anyone to be here for me. Actually, you know what, I do. But she's six feet under, so let's just leave it there."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Sage walked out of her hug. "No, don't do this. Don't make this an Oprah moment, ok?" Sage kept walking. She walked fast, making sure she would get to the church within minutes. And she did. She walked behind the church and opened the gates. Graveyards suck.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Sage walked into the graveyard and just stopped for a moment. She spent a minute just standing there...and then walked on. She went to the very back. Her mother's gravestone had a small crack in the upper left corner, but other than that it was in perfect shape. She set the flowers on top of the headstone. "Happy Birthday."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]"I don't get it, " Sage whispered. "I don't get how you could leave me. You know me; how could you possibly think that I could make it on my own? Without you? You left me alone. You left me alone!!!" Sage picked up the headstone next to her mother's and threw it across the graveyard. It hit the fence and broke into a million little pieces.[/glow]

Tasha stepped up next to Sage. "Sage...Come on...Don't do this. I know your hurt and you want to hurt some thing...So take it out on me...b/c I'm here for you...."

[glow=red,2,300]"Back out of this; you don't belong here!" Sage growled at Tash, flashing her feral eyes . She picked up another headstone and threw it at the ground, watching the old rock crumble. She didn't care. She just kept going, breaking one after the other.[/glow]

Rain watched the whole time. She knew how Sage felt to the last bit well to a certain point. Her parents had been murdered as well, killed in cold blood and she had been there afterwards to see what was left. Nothing but death and blood.
The hybrid girl watched from a distance, not making a move to stop either of her two friends. If it got out of hand she'd intervene but maybe Sage needed this right now.

[glow=red,2,300]Sage growled and did a forward roll, taking Tasha with her. Now she was positioned over Tasha. "Stay out of it! You really want to do something for me? Walk out of here right now!" Sage backed off of Tasha and went for another gravestone.[/glow]

Cleo brought the Viper to a screeching halt in front of the building where the mutant in distress was supposed to be. In a side alley, she could see the GSA agents' black SUVs. Good...they hadn't missed the party-
"Did Sage tell you what happened to her?" Shalimar asked, disrupting Cleo's train of thought.
Cleo looked at Shal blankly.
"Her mother died, Cleo, and left her all alone, with no one. It messed her up pretty bad."
Cleo swallowed. "I didn't know that."
"Think about it next time, before you go off on her." Shal got out of the car and slammed the door.
Cleo followed, silent, suddenly feeling like the biggest heel the world had ever seen. Looking around she noticed something was wrong. Where were her teammates??
