Hey I want to remind everyone to check the official Day Break site frequently as they are always updating the videos and podcasts and photos, etc. They added a new interview with the cast (part 2) and they talked to Vicky in this one so go check it out! abc.go.com/primetime/daybreak/index.html

Ratings numbers are in...
Both Day Break and Medium got their butts kicked by Criminal Minds...Day Break was #4, then dropped to #6 in its second hour. Criminal Minds was, however, only #3.
1.Dancing With The Stars 2.CSI:NY 3.Criminal Minds 4/6.Day Break

This ought to put everything into perspective for everyone...by the numbers Day Break did very well on its premiere night. Proof that the actual viewership likes the show and the critics don't know anything but jack and s***...and jack has left town...lol.
Still waiting to find out where Day Break placed overall for that week...

I don't know what the nielsen numbers were yet cuz of the holiday (truthfully they will probably be lower than they should be because of the holiday), BUT the show now has a 9.1 viewer rating on TV.com (that's a 'Superb'), up from its previous 8.9...and its ratings rank on the site (determined by site members I believe) is up 42 points. As far as the actual viewership goes things look good...but I'm worried about the nielsens
Also...not to get up on a soapbox and preach here, but I feel this is important... It has come to my attention that certain people have been offering to give out copies of the aired Day Break episodes in lieu of streaming from ABC.com or future download. Obtaining these copies, with or without a monetary transaction, is illegal. It is stealing from ABC...and therefore from Vicky, and could potentially hurt the show, as well as the fan community. Downloads and hits for streaming give the show credit...illegally distributed DVDs do not. If you want Day Break to remain on the air and do well, please DO NOT promote the distribution of these illegal copies. You will only be hurting the show. Thanks everyone. I think I speak for all of us when I say that the last thing we want to do is undermine Vicky's dream series.

The numbers for 11/22's ep
Day Break (households: 3.4/6, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T7
Could have been worse...but its a place lower than the pilot was. It WAS however Thanksgiving Eve...but Criminal Minds and CSI:NY still managed to score in the 9-10 range. Next week, being holiday free, will tell more. Day Break still beat the big Madonna Special and The Nine.

This show is one of the best 10 on TV right now. Although I'm a little confused (who isn't), since when is thinking a bad thing? Vicky is right for this.
Slider....one last plea for imdb and Her Fatal Flaw. It still says awaiting 5 votes, so it needs you. I even posted a comment on it. I gave it a 6, which is a good rating for me, since it's being held up against studio movies.
Let's get this fun little movie at least an official rating. Thanks.

In other words...this show is in serious trouble, right? A shame. TV ratings remind me a bit of high school popularity. And Day Break is the complex, cool kid who people just don't get, while the prom queen and quarterback rule the day.

word came down today that ABC is shelving Day Break starting January 3rd, leaving 5 episodes that may or may not air. There is no word at this point as to ABCs plans for those 5 remaining episodes. I've accepted all along that this show probably wasn't going to make it...but please air those 5 episodes so we can at least see this thing through and find out what happens to Hopper as was originally planned. As this one article I found today said, dismal the ratings may be so far, but given the amount of time and money the network has put into the show, it seems awfully odd that the network wouldn't at least let the show finish out its short run. Hope ABC sees it that way and finds a place for it. Different time? Fine. Different night? That's fine too. Just show the remaining episodes. Please.

seems to be getting lower ratings each week or has recently, it'll be a shame if it gets shelved completely and not to the end of the first series, that'll be annoying.

Something positive to note after all...
Day Break (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
ABCs Day Break retained 100% of its week ago Adults 18-49 performance (1.8/5), while growing over the previous week among Women 18-34 (1.6/4 vs. 1.4/5) and Women 18-49 (2.1/5 vs. 2.0/6).

Retaining that 100% of viewers between 18-49 will hopefully show that it has a good amount of people who enjoy the show and will be enough to allow the full series to be viewed.
