Another fine example of why I love the internet so. Lifetime Network has nothing on its site about it, but you can get a pretty meaty blurb from an actor in the production itself.
It looks like Laney and Robert are going to trial, eh?

Not much of an update, but IMBd lists this info now:

Status Updated: 27 July 2006
Note: Since this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change; some data could be removed completely.

SEPTEMBER 24th!!!!! (From Lifetime's website). It looks like they have the plot a bit off (one night stand?) and a character name wrong (Bryant), but it's right around the corner!!!! Amped!!

Hmm that is vexing...but it looks legit. Thanks for all the info you've gathered Dylan! Much appreciated. Looks like we get this movie back to back with Deadly Water on SciFi LOL

Slider, any way to confirm this? It's obvious Lifetime has the plot wrong (not sure why they would) but the date...so soon (a good soon, though).

There isn't a way to confirm it yet...I'm poking around to see what I can find out. The only possibility is that a) someone at lifetime got the plot wrong and it will be changed or b) what was initially submitted to the press etc. was not totally correct, which does sometimes happen. My thinking is that Bryant is not Vince Spano's character. They mention a one night stand....so Vince (playing 'Robert' according to IMDb) would be the fiance, and the one night stand would be Bryant...but I am just guessing. I am inclined to think that Lifetime is right vs. any other info as it IS their movie.... Also bear in mind that as far as timeline goes, 'Hush' was turned around in three months as well

I hear you Slider, but what's on IMDB and other places is not the same plot as is on Lifetime site. Lifetime has her defending a "one night stand" (ostensibly "Bryant"), while IMBD and others speak of her defending her fiance (ostensibly "Robert"). I think we're talking about the same character. Perhaps she gets engaged the same night that she has the one night stand...hahaha...either way, I'm sure it will be good.

Maybe the plot used to she was engaged, then went with one-night stand for better drama?

OR they're BOTH true...she's engaged to Robert and has a one-night stand with Bryant....
it bothers me that the info on Lifetime conflicts with what has been in the press so far, but I'm more inclined to believe Lifetime, if you know what I mean. I guess we'll find out soon lol

No Bryant even listed on IMDB cast/characters list. My $ says Lifetime's off, since I'm guessing the producers have been the one's updating IMDB, but who really knows. The more fun question is, which one sounds better? The Lifetime one sounds a bit juicier, but the drama inherent in defending a fiance for murder would be immense.

IMDb has the cast fully updated finally...and no character named Bryant. So I think it's safe to conclude that Robert Genaro is who Lifetime's site refers to as "Bryant." Still don't know if he's a finace or lovah, but...
BTW...the cast of characters has a judge, call girl and reporter. A solid triad for any good Lifetime movie.
