Let's talk about Vicky!

Hi sisters,
as I'm a quite new but already very MAD fan of Vicky, I want to talk with you about Vicky, to know through you a little bit more about her and also because I LOVE to talk about her, I mean...I bother to all my friends talking about her but they can't really understand cos they don't share my passion (so far... XD)

anyway: just tell me what you want...for example:
1 - what do you like most in her or about her?

2 - how did you start to be her fan?

3 - are you also a xena fan or you go to the conventions just because of vicky? (i'm so mad about her that if I could go I would go just to see her!)

4 - for who met her personally: is she always joking or somethimes she speaks seriously? XD this question is because in the movies she's always so serious (her characters I mean) but in person she's a joker! She tells jokes for every word she speaks! XD

5 - who's your favorite character that vicky played ( in the series and in the movies I mean!)

If you have other questions you can put it in the thread...and answer of course!

Here are my answers:
1 - Phisically her muscled body (I wish I had like hers, and you need to workout very hard to be like this!) In her personality I love her way to be so simple and happy, she's like the girl next door and this is amazing in a famous person!

2- I just found the mutant X series and I started to watch cos I'm a fan of x-men and other superhero comics, and I sow Vicky playing Shalimar! Well Shalimar is a perfect rappresentation of the comic's women, so I liked her immediatelly, but also I thought: where did I see this actress? And I remembered Sarge from Cleopatra2525 that I used to watch sometimes, so I thought: this woman is a great actress!

3 - I watched Xena at the beginning of the series but I don't like it very much...sorry for the Xena fans!

4 - I've never met her :-(((

5 - I didn't see all Vicky's movies, so far my fave is Carrie Ryger form BOB... vampyre hunter...very cooooooooool girl!

I'm always happy to talk about Vicky! lol.

I'm sure I've told these stories before here, but I don't mind telling them again.

1. She's beautiful...on the inside. Sure she's got a killer smile and amazing abs (lol), but what I love the most is that she's very sweet, very loving, and hysterically funny. That always wins in my book, hehe. And she always treats her fans with respect and really pays attention and takes time with each person. That was something that really got my attention the first time I saw her in person.

2. It was the first episode(s) of Xena that I ever saw, the 2 'Adventures in the Sin Trade' eps. I saw her as Queen Cyane and my immediate reaction was literally "WHOA...WHO is THAT?!?!?!" If only I had known what I was getting myself into...lol... I followed her to Cleopatra 2525 (where I really got hooked) and then to Mutant X. I finally got to meet her at the 2002 Xena con and I've been head over heels ever since.

3. I am a Xena fan, but I have been to many conventions for several shows. These days, though, I will admit to attending more for the sake of seeing Vicky than anything else. Not to take away from the Xena fans - they are a great group, and every convention is like a fun family reunion. I just have more fun when Vicky is there. She always steals the show for me.

4. Haha so now you see what a fantastic actor she is! Vicky is a self-professed goofball, and she loves to laugh, so she's usually being goofy. One of my favorite things about her, besides that she's a total sweetheart. Many times she has had me laughing so hard its painful, lol.

5. For a very long time it was Shalimar, but I lean more toward Andrea Battle (Day Break) or even Carrie (BofB) these days. Shal is still right up there tho. That part was too perfect for her.

I always say this but its true - to be a Vicky fan is to be extremely blessed because she is an amazing, beautiful person who is absolutely worth our time and worthy of our love. We are the luckiest fans on earth.

wow....I love your answers, I think that you're right: we are the luckyest fans ever! it's amazing how she makes me laugh and happy everytime I hear her talk (I made the "happy" video on youtube just to say this!) and also it's incredible how different she is when she acts...definitelly she's an incredibly good actress! If you think that she started modeling for fitness magazines it must have been very evident to who decided to make an actress of her! I mean: a fitness model is not the first person you think that can be a good actress, she have just to...strike the pose! XD
I've been a fan of other people, I adore Jennifer Lopez, for example, but with Victoria is another story: she makes me happy! She can put me in a good mood and it's incredible for a person that lives so far from me! When I feel not very well for something I look at her smile and not only I come to think: "How incredibly beautiful you are!" but it's contageous! Everytime I'm down my friends alredy know that it's enough to say: "Vicky!" and I start smiling, al troubles are put aside for a while...it's like a spell! But now I have another question: how is she in person I mean phisically? She seems very strong, but in tv often the people seem bigger than what they really are...is she tall? Is she tiny? I don't know....I know that the screen makes a lot evident all the imperfection, and she has quite not an imperfection, so how is she in person?

1. What do I like most about her?? Umm.....everything? LOL. Especially her infectious laugh - brightens up the whole room! I don't think I can say anything more than "What's not to love?".

2. She caught my eye like a lightning streak at night on that show Mutant X. Totally cool first impression. She gave a really good dynamic performance, and the role was PERFECT for her .

3. Yes, I was a Xena fan LONG before I was a Vicky fan. But the reason as to why I went to this year's convention was more for Vicky than for Lucy & Renee. LOL. I think I'll get shoes thrown at me for writing that - but it's true! The xena fans were also very cool though, and they made me feel very welcomed, so I'm very thankful for that . Oh, and slider was rockin' cool at the con . Hehehe.

4. HAhhaha. Yeah, I used to think she was a bit more serious too. That was, until I actually met her! LOL. Very funny and charismatic person. She's really good at connecting with people and making them laugh too ;D. Hmmm......from the times I've spent with her, I'd say she's more of a 'goofball' than a 'serious' type of person. Then again, I didn't spend a lot of time with her. She's always cracking up jokes though, and boy, does she laugh a lot!

5. Definitely Shalimar Fox. No other characters come close to touching that. I haven't seen Hush Little Baby and Her Fatal Flaw yet though. And the Badge Bunny episode (and maybe some other episodes where she guest-starred). But I'm pretty sure none of them would fit her as well as Shalimar's character did. That role was MADE for her. Seriously. (*grrr* Someone should make another petition to get that show back on air! LOL. Do you guys realise it's been 5 years since MX ended? Freaky how time flies, eh?)

I'm actually filling the youtube with vicky videos, just to make her known! I'm doing a new one right now about Sarge, also this is a chatracter I love, cos she's strong but also funny, a real hero but a real woman...I think I love all her characters...well....but I didn't want to be obvious telling Shalimar...also cos I love it but I don't like that much the fragile part she shows, too often for me, well I'm more on the hard girls! XD

ehi! welcome back! I see that bothering you with posts is making you girls back to the forum! I found it a bit empty lately! I don't know...maybe the golden moment of shalimar is gone, but VICKY is still worth to talk about! I hope that we can make more members to come back, and also I'd like to invite new ones...maybe I could put a link on my youtube videos...what do you think? I see that the most viewed one, that with eye of the tiger song, is nealry 2000 viewing! So I guess a lot of people search the web for Vicky's news or videos or whatever....where are they all? Let's make them come to the forum!

Many people say she is far more beautiful in person and its absolutely true. She's just like she seems on tv, only better, physique-wise too. Only thing is (and I will admit to thinking it when I first saw her in person) you'll be surprised that she's smaller than you think, lol. Only about 5' 6" (which isn't too short) and very petite. Make no mistake tho she could beat you up no problem - but she'll probably just make you laugh yourself to death, lol.

I'd say she's more of a 'goofball' than a 'serious' type of person.

Ah see that was one of the things I like most. A lot like, Vicky herself, actually. Remember, vulnerable doesn't necessarily equal weak. If anything, Shal's vulnerability made her stronger.

well....maybe vicky herself prefers the shalimar kind than the sarge kind...I don't know...I see she's always so funny, but I wonder how she is in facing the problems of everyday life, when you cannot joke at all! At the conventions it's like she likes to be funny to entartain the people, cos they like to see her joke like this, but I think she's also very smart and clever as a person, I wonder how she is as a friend, when you ask her for help, when she's working...maybe I wonder too much XD!!!

From what I gather she is the type to face things head on, and believe me I don't get the impression that she screws around when its not appropriate. She likes to be funny to entertain, but trust me really its just that she REALLY loves to laugh. I also feel like she's the kind to go the extra mile to help someone. Just the impression I have gotten over time. But you never know I guess...

And yeah Vicky has said often that she prefers the Shalimar type over something like Sarge.

....the more I hear or read about her...the more I love her....how I'd like her to be in a series that is not cancelled this time! Lauren was lucky to be in CSI...what about our prescious Vicky?...and, no offence to the lauren fans but Vicky is far better than her as an actress....do you think the problem is..age?

No the problem is that in Hollywood you're always too much or not enough SOMETHING unless you are just right. Actually, recently she has been turned down for looking too young, lol.

turned down for what? I was thinking about that she didn't make comic parts...her characters are always serious or drammatic, but never comic..well..exepted Jackie Janczyk! She was so weird in that part, a bit ridiculous but really good! It must be a hard part to play!

I think the comedy part is more about preference, but I have never actually asked her about that... As far as what she was tuned down for? Lots of different things.
