Let me know if I missed any...
the tally so far, just this season, is: 5, eps 301-305, with some pretty serious stuff in 302 and 305.
only one without, ep 306
and one where subtext arguably becomes maintext: ep 307
Anyone heard anything Bren/Shal related for ep 308?
Anyone remember the first ep with subtext?

Well let's see I've counted six total from what i can remember, including ones from seasons 1 & 2 but it's late for me and I can't think at night even though I'm a night person  |

Hiya all ;D
The very first Brennan/Shalimar moment was in episode 2,season 1:I screm the body electric. It was a lovely moment when they first meet and Brennan tries to impress her by showing off his powers. And then there's a lovely scene where he takes her hand to help her step over an unconscious GSAgent.

Mmmm...gotta disagree with you on that one lorn...I don't think there was anything that could be called subtext in that ep.
I'm in the middle of watching my DVDs...when I find an ep with what I call subtext, I'll post it.
Can you think of the next ep that had subtext?

Okay..it's an ungodly hour(1.34 am) and I can't sleep..seriously.. what's wrong with me??  Anyways..so I went to visit the ob and..it wasn't there??what the !?!?.. Any of you guys have any idea about it?? |

I tried to go to the OB just now...what the f@#$% happened to it??? There's nothing there!!! Please, someone post on the "Comlink" board when they find out!!! That said... Another GREAT ep for subtext was the one before (or after; I can't remember which) "Under the Cloak of War", "Once Around". Remember that scene where Bren is working out, lifting weights with his shirt off *drool*, and Shal walks in? She just stopped...the sight of super-sexy Brennan gave her pause!  She had that "OMG" look on her face! I know I did...  And the very last scene with the two of them at the end...it was so SWEET! Definite love there. ;D |

In response to Lornein seeing subtext in that moment during ep. 102, I could see the chemisty between the two character/actors then but it wasn't exactly subtext. The first 6 episodes of the series had a lot of subtext between Shalimar and Adam. In the commentary for 'Fool For Love' on the US DVD Victoria even says that she and John Shea were not sure what type of a relationship their characters were going to have so there was a lot of flirting going on between them during those first few episodes.  I was actaully an Adam/Shal shipper way back when the series first began airing... |

That would have been an interesting pairing, Adam and Shal... I could see that working...maybe. Maybe I should write a "what if" fic about that. I can see what lorn was saying about ep 102 too. I see how it could come off as subtext, but it was really Shal being a flirt ;D |
