I feel that Brennan loves Shalimar more dont know why ! but Shal seems showing her love more and more ! I know why you would think that. I think that Brennan realized his love first, you know? Where as Shal has been loving him for some time, but she hasn't been totally aware of it, partly because I think everytime she gets close she backs off. Somehow she is afraid of letting herself love Brennan, but she is finally starting to get over that fear I think. |

Exactly!
I was thinking that maybe part of Shal's fear also is an issue of vulnerability, not just weakness. Love makes a person very vulnerable, and we all know that Shalimar fears that. I think that her feeling for Bren are so strong that she is afraid of making herself that vulnerable. Do you get what I'm trying to say?

YES! And Victoria is damn good at playing what the writers have given her. In fact, what she is doing with Shalimar has a lot to do with her own ideas, more than what is being written for her by the writers.

YEP!! she might be afreaid of getting hurt if she becomes vulnerable...remeber in fool for love she was very open and vulnerable she let herself instantly fall for richard and she got slashed open. she may be afreaid of that happening again or that BRennan may find someone else and she get wounded again....

Yes! And sort of the other half of that is that in "Hand of God" Shalimar realized, though maybe not completely consciously, that she loves Brennan more than she's ever loved anyone. And if she loses him, or he hurts her...yeah. I think that she is afraid of that. I think that she wants very much to be with him, but holds back because she is very afraid of being that vulnerable. At the same time she can't deny what she feels for him. That's what all the touchy touchy cuddly is about - she wants to be close to him, and she can't fight that forever. She lets herself get close in a way that is safe.

Shalimar will eventually reach a point where she will say "I love you", even if it is only to herself and not out loud to Bren. I think that almost happened in "Hand of God". The question is, will Brennan say it to her first. After what happened in "Possibilities" where she died, I think Brennan may be the one who will make the first move.

hmm maybe he'll realize he doesnt have all the time in the world and he will make the first move and i htink she will definitely be receptive to him cause she wnats him but is afraid of being hurt or losing him to another...ohhh then we get to see feral fights another woman for her man...i so wanna see that acutally lol...they need an episode for that....that'll get high marks hehe ;D
