Another subtext moment that you have to include is in the teaser of "Wages of Sin". Remember the beginning, when Shal was saying "you have a lot to learn about hunting Brennan. The anticipation is the best part...the stillness...waiting for your prey to show itself..." Definite tension there! ;D
Do you think that if the bad guys hadn't shown up so soon, Shal might have kissed him?
And that whole line about waiting for prey...maybe Shal was saying how, at least subconsciously, all she's waiting for is for Brennan to make his move. A little Freudinan slip. Shal teases Bren a lot, but I think that if Bren ever seriously made a move, she wouldn't fight him for long... ;D

That one scene reminded me a lot of the scene in the forest for 'Whose Woods Are These?' when shal and Brennan were talking about natures bug repellent.
So close to an actual kiss, but then they were intereputed by the creature they were after.

Definitely Shalgal.
They're always getting conveniently interrupted by someone or something. That little writing trick is getting a bit tired. Now that scene at the end of ep 307 "Hand of God" was better. I didn't like it just because I'm a shipper, either. It was good writing, or at least the beginnings of it, where the writers stopped using the easy tricks and actually played on some serious emotion. I want to see more stuff well done like that.
