I thought that this was an OUTSTANDING episode. This is the kind of good writing that Mutant X so desperately needs!!!
You gotta give applause to Karen Cliche for her acting in this one, especially the last couple of scenes. She totally blew me away. The emotion...the intensity...and she totally SOLD IT. She was completely REAL. She was, simply put, AMAZING.
The only thing that bothered me was: Why the hell did Brennan have to "borrow" [aka "steal"] a car?? Was that really necessary? Good guys don't go around stealing cars when they need a convenient ride. That's not right. And doesn't MX already have their own transportation??
Another blooper: All of you sword collecters would have noticed this one - the guy running the organ harvesting operation was obviously a serious collector, and yet all of his katana were displayed edge side DOWN. Any REAL collector would know that a katana is never stored edge down bcause that dulls the blade's razor sharpness. Katana are displayed edge side UP. The set designer didn't do their homework...

That was an amazing ep I cried in it....it moved me that much. And I bow to Karen's acting she was absolutely astounding in her performance. Her emotions were very real in everyway and I think that Lexa crying was a very major thing for her since she is so untrusting and kind of stoic in emotions but not as much as she ususally is. Im very amazed by her performance in this ep and I love it
LOL Cleo I was wondering the same thing on the car part. As for the Katana's I saw that and was like wait a minute that is so not right. THat guy doenst know how to take care of his swords

When I watched the rerun on Sunday night I caught another production mistake:
In one of the early scenes, Shalimar is sitting at the computer in the main room at Sanctuary. She is wearing the white leather jacket in the scene. Anyway, the camera is looking at her from behind. If you look, you can see Victoria's sound pack [for her on set mic] stuck into the back of her pants...oops!

This was my favorite season 3 episode of all, even though the science behind mutant organ transplantation was bogus. More of Lexa's shadowy past was revealed, including her childhood, reasons for joining the GSA, and guilt over her brother's difficulties. Jesse even stood up to his teammates when he didn't agree with the way they were prying into Lexa's private affairs. Leo was a great character with an interesting and unique mutant ability. I wish he had been allowed to live longer, so that more of the twin interaction could have occurred.
I will admit that I was completely annoyed at Brennan the entire time, from the moment he burst into Lexa's room uninvited, stole her medallion for DNA material, and wouldn't listen to her advice about staying away from Leo.
I agree with you all that Karen's performance made up for the flaws in this episode. The beautiful Lexa/Leo moment near the end was so touching.

In spite of its flaws, I think it was one of the season's best.

I wasnt annoyed at Brennans intrussion in it acutally made it entertaining with Lexa being snappy at him. I would have loved to have seen more of the twin interaction and the flaws....what flaws lol it was too good to me to have any

Karen Cliche was amazing in this episode. I believe it's one of her best performance next to She's come undone. The others were great too. To find your brother after many years and then lossing him forever it's a hard feeling for annyone to live with...
