Every time I think about this episode I get a horrible sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. From past experience that means that its going to be good, but I may not like the way things go afterward because of it. I suppose that I shouldn't worry since we aren't ever gonna find out what happens.  This looks, from the trailer, like it is going to be one hell of an episode. Seems as though the bad guys get in to Sanctuary. Not good. What's even more not good is Shal getting blown off the upper level by a huge explosion. At least I have something to look forward to in this ep...  |

I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy it. I mean 3 year is such a good run - the only thing that I am unhappy about is the show ending on a cliffhanger. I also wish that we could explore Shal and Bren/Shal more. Other than that I am happy. I'm gonna be writing fanfic, I can tell you that. And I'm thinking about doing a virtual season 4 here on this site. We'll see... The announcement hasn't been made yet, but the future sure does look grim...   |

lol yeah 3 yrs is an okay run to me.....i've seen shows do so much more with more seasons and MX has that potential i mean if it had four seasons i'd be so satisfied  but at least we got the show and got to have more than one or two seasons so i guess im happy just not thrilled that its ending on only three great season with a cliffhanger |

Yeah...I mean I've said that I would like to see another season cause there are so many more places that you could go with Shal, Bren/Shal, Jess/Lexa, and the entire universe of the show, but the only thing that I am really unhappy about is that the end will be a cliffhanger, giving us no closure to the series. I'm also just a little disappointed, because I heard all these cool things about how season 4 would be a totally different universe, and that after the finale none of the characters would be the same. I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to see that after getting excited about the prospects. MX did however have a great 3 years and I am happy for that. For right now I am just putting blinders on and keeping the faith - for me MX isn't over until I see an official press release. and I take comfort in the fact that Vicky will be back, doing something that will maybe even be better than shal, though that is hard to imagine |

i second that! i really dont want the end to be like that, i waned Lexa and Jesse to get closer and when i think of all the amazing storylines they could have for seasons 4 5 6 it blows my mind as to why they would cancel it!!!

You have to understand what really happened:
Tribune didn't cancel Mutant X - they had renewed it for another year. But the canadian production partner that actually makes the show, Fireworks Entertainment, was sold and will no longer be doing TV shows. Basically Mutant X found itself suddenly without the means to film, or fund the filming of, the show. There is no longer a producer, and Tribune cannot afford to make Mutant X without a production partner. That's why the show is going off the air.
Basically, on the verge of their best, most successful year yet, Mutant X got totally screwed.

Hello I have my vcr ready 4 more hours to go and its on Oh I heard the song "Goodbye to you" by Michelle Branch on the radio and it was so sad. I also have my pen ready cause I want to write my own 4th season. Are they going to put third season on DVD when they are finished with season 2? I hope so and I would think they would cause they did season 1 and 2. Also this board will still be up right?

i'm also writing my own season 4 epys i guess i could play them in my head im not really sure though, they didnt really give us much to base a S4 fanfic on did they?

To answer your question, I am fairly certain that ADV Films will release S3 on DVD, since they have the exclusive DVD distribution rights. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't, and last I heard they wanted to put all of MX out. Yes this board will still be up for a while longer, probably at least as long as it takes for the rest of MX to come out on DVD. And if you all are interested in doing S4 stories, I'll leave this board up so we can organize and post them here. I'm working on a story now that would be the S4 opener. Once I get that done I am thinking of opening a board here for post-S3 stories. As far as them not giving us much to base s4 fanfic on... Well that's the challenge then, isn't it? In a way its a gift because we pretty much have the freedom to make it whatever we want to. There's still the characters, and enough of a skeleton to work with, all we have to do is flesh it out. |
