shalimar sat on the chair putting her head on the table " i dont get it em i went to sleep early and i feel like i have been hit by not just one but two trucks. im so tired.

"You should take a nap later. Maybe that will help or maybe a pot of coffee? I just made some." Emma replied in a mildly cheerful voice.

shalimar sat there for a moment before getting up and grabbing a cup off coffee. thanks em she said as she sat down and set it on the table. she forgot to take a sip and stared at it

"No prob," Emma answered and took a sip of coffee then watched Shalimar. She tilted her head as Shalimar stared into space. "I think you can skip the coffee and just go back to bed before you fall alseep in the drink."

I was back in my apartment at my counter, sitting on a high stool. I was dowloading the other half of my information onto a smal disk.
I heard a meow. I looked down and saw my cat rubbing against my chair for attention. I picked her up and petted her. She curled up in contentment and purred.
I could barely contain my excitement at all of this. Getting what I wanted after so long was just too sweet.
THe file was now complete and now all I had to do was wait for my call and the night to come and I could get back into Shalimar's mind.

Emma watched Shalimar walk away. SHe was slightly worried about her feral friend. Never had she seen her so tired especially from just getting up.

shalimar climbed into bed and instantly fell asleep. emma was right she really needed to go back to bed. she also knew that emma being a worried friend that she is would have insisted adam check on shalimar.

Emma got up to go find Adam. She would tell him to keep an eye on her if she wakes up extremely tired again. She figured Shalimar wouldnt be happy about her talking to Adam but Emma was worried. It was her nature to worry about her friends.

I was resting on the couch when I felt her presence. The sleeping presence of Shalimar. It was too early for her to go back to sleep. I guess I wore her out. No matter. Better to do this now than later and maybe I could get better sleep. I was failry tired myself from last night.
I closed my eyes and reached out into her slumbering mind. So easy to take over when it wasnt aware, the mind.
I took hold of her motor functions and moved outside. I looked aorund to see no one again. I hurried down the hall and out into the open.
"Shal?" Called a sweet melodic voice. Shalimar's instincts told her it was a woman named Emma. "I thought you were going back to bed?"
"Uhh, yeah I just needed something to drink really quick, mouth is dry," I answered through Shalimar.
She didnt look completely convinced but the look I must have given made her nod. She slowly turned and walked away.
Taking my chance I went upstairs and as nonchalantly as I could, watch Emma disappear. I sprinted to the computer and loaded it back up. I hacked into my secure channel and opened up all the folders. It took a good twenty long agonizing minutes to download everything. When done I closed it all and made sure I left everything as it had been when I had come.
I went back to bed and erased Shalimar's memory of gettin up and talking to Emma.
I was suddenly back at my place. I jerked up and went to my sleeping laptop. I grinned as I skimmed through my prize. The best one I thought was the location of something called Sancutary...

The sound of the lab door sliding open made Adam look up from the work that he was doing on his computer. It was Emma - he smiled at her.

shalimar fell into a deep restless sleep. she had no recolation ( not the correct spelling) of talking to emma or even getting up out of bed at all.

"Im kinda worried about Shal. SHe was so tired today and she went to bed early I think. SHe looked like she was up all night. Im jsut getting a funny feeling about it all." Emma shook her head, "god Im being paranoid. Im sorry I bothered you." Emma felt a little stupid now that she said what she thought.

"You're not being paranoid, Emma." He frowned. " Did you sense anything strange from her?"

Emma nodded, "its not strong more like a lingering feeling. I dunno how to explain it...its just a funny vibe."
