Hey guys!! I swear I'm like all crazy right now spreading the news to everyone. But I can't help it, I'm just so excited!!! Anyway, the big news is that Vicky's gonna make a guest appearance in the 2009 Xena Convention in LA. It was officially announced today and you can all see it on CreationEnt's website below:

I'm definitely going since I've been waiting FOREVER to meet Vicky!! Even though it's half-way round the world and would probably leave a gazillion holes in my pockets. I tell myself that I must AT LEAST go to ONE convention. Oh well, hope to see some of you there!!!!

P.S. I'm kinda peeved they spelled Vicky's name wrong. (I mean, it is wrong, isn't it??lol)

P.P.S. Isn't it funny how we all are original fans of XENA. Honestly, I never knew Vicky was in it until I started getting interested in Mutant X and all. When I found out I was all like "Wow, everything is so........CONNECTED". LOL. Just thought I'd share that. What can I say? I'm a big dork!

And yes they did spell her name wrong and it irritates the hell out of me. And really it should be 'Victoria' because that's her credited name....ugh.

*sigh* Yeah, I know. Anyway, how long will you be staying in Los Angeles at??? Cos I'm planning to stay for a month and was wondering whether you could suggest some good hotels to stay in.

I may only be there for the weekend. I'm not quite sure about that yet. I always recommend staying at the hotel where the event is taking place. Its easier, they usually pick a nice location, and it makes it really fun to be in a hotel with all your fellow Xenites partying it up. Considering the location this year though, you might want to consider moving to one of the hotels in Burbank after the event is over - The Hilton in Universal City is one of the best locations. Or if you want to downgrade a little there are some Best Westerns that are a little cheaper and really nice, right in the middle of town with easy access to shopping and food. Speaking of shopping, some of my fave places are the universal city walk, the grove, and beverly center, just to name a few. Pick up some of the tourist brochures at the hotel. There's all kinds of stuff to do at all hours. Why I love L.A.!!! Anyway hope that helps ya!

So far I have booked myself in as well for the convention though I just got back from L.A. last night and will be having major knee surgery next week so I may be limping but I will be there. Would really look forward to meeting her for the first time and any of you as well! Coming from Toronto...

Looking forward to meeting you and any others as well although will like to get an email or something beforehand so can send a photo or get a name or something so we can meet up there somehow. Lots of time! Knee surgery is in a few hours and it's a big one to give some stability to my knee after a freak home incident almost 2 years ago.

Good luck for the surgery brenshal! Anywho, I'm sure me and slidershal will arrange something as we get closer to the date, or the prattpack group will. I believe they have more experience than I do with these conventions considering I've never been to one! Either way, any updates will be posted on this thread!

Oh well, the knee surgery failed so I will definitely be limping there...LOL..Too bad. I would have loved to try out a dance class at Vicky's new studio while I was out there but that is not in the cards. It's too bad. Vicky was a great influence a few years ago...Oh well at least have the convention to look forward to...

Normally I'd pic out a place for us to meet but wouldn't you know this year they moved the con to a different location that I've never been to before so I don't know anything about the event center at all. Anyone have any ideas on how to coordinate things?

Thanks slidershal. It will be an adjustment. As for the studio, it's on VPO. Had not been on that website in a very long time but have lots of time to kill now that I am off work for a couple of weeks.

As for meeting, maybe somewhere in lobby area at a prespecified time or maybe everyone have some small identifying common colour item. I drove by the LAX Marriott at least 2 or 3 times when I was there the last couple of weeks but cannot recall anything much on West Century Blvd other than some car rental places like Fox and a La Quinta Inn and McDonalds...

Yeah, I heard about Vicky's Revel Cardio Dance Studio. It just opened recently on 2nd of September. I think it'd be cool to go and check it out while we're there. I saw some pictures of the studio and it was really awesome. Vicky sure has some taste! I totally love the design of that place. Would love to have the opportunity to check it out. Hey, maybe some of us could all go for dance classes after the con is over, and brenshal could take pictures of us fooling around and use it as blackmail material later!! LOL. Oh well, I've never been to LA, so you guys would have to show me around town when I get there!

An actual update on VPO...amazing...lol. Yeah would be fun to go and take a class. I was thinking of doing that myself. Who knows, she might even be there! It is about a half an hour away from the convention location tho. Hysink where did you see pictures?
