You could almost say that there was only physical attraction involved, if not for the prophecy True love will call...
I dunno I just thought it was too hurried. Bren and Shal deserved a little better I think.

i agree. it was way too rushed and we didn't even get to see anything AT ALL.  they deserved better. |

If I had never seen MX before I would have mistaken it for meaningless sex. It was not handled properly.

I was very happy at first then when it cut off i was like that's it?!?!?!?! if i didnt know better i would have said it was meaningless but i know better and im gonna say it was rushed

If I had never seen MX before I would have mistaken it for meaningless sex. It was not handled properly. I thinks that was the thing that made me feel disappointed. We've all been watching long enough to know better than that, but it still didn't feel right to me. I mean don't get me wrong, I was happy that they hooked up, but it was done all wrong, and... Okay, I'll say it: I wanted to see Bren and Shal make love, not have a quickie in the hangar that told me nothing about their real feelings. There. I said it. And I don't think I'm alone. Still I voted that it was just too rushed, since I know it wasn't meaningless, and maybe if the scene had been a little longer it would have come off better. All of the above said, there is something that needs to be remembered here: This episode wasn't intended to be the end of the series, and with no production company their was no way to re-shoot. This scene came off the way it did likely because it was intended to be that way at that time, only to have the relationship progress into what it deserved to be, and what the characters deserved, in season 4. When I think of it that way I am not really disappointed. |

During S1 that set was used as Eckhart's office...

Hmm... I wouldn't say they made love. That's what I'm dissapointed about. But yeah I did notice that they boinked in what used to be Ekchart's office back in S1. I found a degree of humor in that.  The garage/hangar sets from S2 and 3 were redressings of the old GENOMEX set. |

I think it says nothing. The whole way it went was totally opposite of the 'love thing' that was happening with them all through the show. If you gauge their relationship by that, all it says is that its meaningless.

Yeah. What those feelings were, however, were very unclear. I think the characters deserved better than that. The audience certainly did.
