Got it together properly...I wouldn't say that. Point of fact, the assault made Shal look a little slutty to me, and I didn't like that at all. I would have done things very differently.

I like it that Brennan and Shalimar finally admitted they love each other, but indeed, there's no real love in THE scene. I guess because of it being not only the last episode of the season, but also the last episode of the series, there was not enough time to pay more attention to the details.
I'm sure Victoria isn't happy about it either.

On the note of the assault:
The popular theory (which I am sure is accurate) is that THE SCENE was thrown in at the very last minute when the producers realized that the show was not coming back. It is widely believed that Bren and Shal were never intended to have sex in that ep, but perhaps at the least kiss and that would have been all. I should have known then, watching that scene, that MX was done for, lol. I wish it had just been a kiss sometimes, rather than that hurried mess.

And I love that scene from the Prophecy. That line from Shal was said with such a sneer and I thought it was a riot!

I've been watching eps from season 3, and I had forgotten how good 'A Normal Life' was! Its my favorite now, after 'Fool for Love'. 'Lest He Become' and 'The Hand of God' come right after. Not only are they some of the best Shal eps, but they are Vicky's best performances. ;D

That theory could be right. They already knew 'The assault' was gonna be the last episode. It was definitely a "hurried mess" ;D
I'm quite angry with the producers that they didn't predict there were gonna be lawsuits. Now we'll never get a new season or at least a tv movie to wrap things up the way it should.

Yes 'A normal life' is a Vicky episode. She is so good, a natural!! She couldn't have made a better choise to be an actress. She's so confident, it scares me LOL.
In 'Lest he become' you can also see the real Vicky.
I love how she talks about her father and why she absolutely doesn't want to see him again.
I had goose-bumps watching it ;D
She needs to be on the big screen. WAKE UP HOLLYWOOD!!!!

Well in a way they couldn't have predicted the lawsuit - both MX and X-Men are Marvel properties. The kink is that Fox has temporary ownership of X-Men while the movies are being made. So Fox decided to get cute and see if they could make some money by suing MX. Its so damn stupid that it would be funny if it hadn't ruined my show.

Yeah! Vicky definitely gives me goosebumps in those eps. She always does when she's really on. Its why I love watching her. And Hollywood is waking up somewhat - Vicky will be in House of the Dead 2, remember? Although I don't think it is a part that will necessarily let her show off all of her talent. We'll see...

In my opinion Vicky is much better than say Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock.
Just want to see her at the Oscars with an Oscar in her hands and us, sisters, cheering and applauding in the audience ( or backstage ) ;D ;D

'A normal life' is also one of my favorite episodes. Especially the scene in which Adam appears in Shalimars room. She's angry with him for making her believe he died with Emma. The -Shalimar-crying-part is so intense! Definitely a great performance by Vicky.

Vicky is so good that its scary. I agree that she is much better than most of the big names out there. I can't help but be in total awe of her talent, acting or otherwise. Trust me, I admire her as much as you do. That's why this site is here...

I think 'A Normal Life' is one of her best performances EVER. Period.

If Vicky got an Oscar...I might die. There is a good chance of an Emmy for that Lifetime movie that is coming up, if the hype can be believed... Hell, she just missed a Saturn Award for MX.

I have 3 faves (think I said this before) all tied for 1st, and I like them as much for how Shalimar is in them as for the performance that Vicky gave as Shalimar: "Fool For Love", "Lest He Become", and "A Normal Life". That last one reminded me of 'Fool For Love' actually.
